Houseboats, jet skis, kayaks, and paddleboards are not for rent. This is the current list.
Rentals
What do you rent?
8-passenger single-deck pontoons, 10-passenger double-deck pontoons with a slide, and 2-passenger fishing jon boats.
Do I have to book online?
Pontoons: yes. Staff can rarely take call-in or walk-in pontoon reservations. Jon boats: no reservations — first come at the dock.
What if my date is full?
Join the waitlist for that boat and date in checkout. If a cancellation opens a boat, everyone on the list is emailed a booking link. Request only the boats you actually need.
Who has to be at the dock?
The reservation cardholder, with a current photo ID. Every passenger 18 or over must be present to sign the insurance waiver. Renter must be 21.
Are children counted?
Yes. Insurance counts every person, any age. Kentucky law: children 12 and under wear a life jacket at all times. We provide PFDs by size.
Pets, grills, anchors, alcohol?
Pets yes — clean up. Grills and cooking appliances no. We do not provide anchors. Alcohol is illegal on Cave Run Lake. No tubing or pulling floats.
What’s the refund policy?
Cancel more than 10 days out: 80% of the rental (not tax/fees). Within 10 days, or if you change the date, that refund is void. No weather refunds. Deposit is separate and due at arrival.
Marina
When do slips open?
Contract year is April to April. We usually know by the end of April. Turnover is under 1%. Re-apply every January 1 — the list is purged December 31.
Do you have transient slips?
Yes — casual ties along the main walkway and dock D. Limited electric (120V 30-amp twistlock). Bring your own adapter.
Covered slips for pontoons?
No. We match boat to slip and do not put pontoons in covered slips. Moorings are buoys behind the marina; shuttle runs in daylight only.
Is there night security?
Yes, every night of the year. Marina hours are 8am–10pm daily.
